The Motorleague Need Your Help

On the last day of September, Moncton’s Motorleague released their first video from Black Noise for the infectious ‘Hymn For The Newly Departed’.
Since the release of the video, it has been added to Much Loud’s playlist and featured on the Punk Show – both nationally syndicated on Much Music. The video has also received thousands of YouTube hits.
It was shot by Moncton-based production team The Postman Group, with director Marc Savoie, only weeks prior to their latest album launch. The afternoon of the shoot was filled with close to 50 local music supporters and friends and fans of the band who came out to star in the project.

“The video really turned out to be a “who’s who” of music fans in Moncton, with members of so many great local bands in the crowd,” says Motorleague guitarist Don Levandier. “I think we’ve got members of Rebecca’s Grave, Sigil Of Aeons, Share, The Slate Pacific, Dionisus, Kamikaze Survival Guide, Fear Of Lipstick, Underleaf, Speakerscam, and Glower – so it was really overwhelming to see the Moncton music community come together so well and support the project.”
The Motorleague just finished East Coast dates with Montreal’s Priestess and Trigger Effect to celebrate the launch of the video and to support the critically acclaimed ‘Black Noise’ CD, and now they need your help.

The Slate Pacific…Touring!!

If you live in Ontario, there’s still one shows left. Go see them tonight (November 14 ) in London, Ontario, at EVAC.
Here’s a note from singer/songwriter Logan Hawkes…

“salutations from toronto. we’re two shows deep and it’s been pretty, pretty good; here’s the run down thus far:

montreal: double-booked with a poetry reading = hilariously awkward and hectically stressful set. but all things work themselves out in the end. and museum pieces were great.

toronto: new music tuesday was quite the experience. we were just there to play, everyone else wanted to get signed. weird vibe. but the venue was awesome and it sounded deadly. somehow we were the only band to get a soundcheck, so we were able to relax and have fun.

ignore the hype….

stay tuned for more.

logan”
