We are so incredibly excited to welcome Aquakultre to the Forward Music Group roster (stable) of artists.

Primarily the project of Halifax-based CBC Searchlight award-winning rapper and neo-soul songwriter Lance Sampson, Aquakultre released a steady string of singles and EPs since 2017 before being joined by musicians Nick Dourado, Jeremy Costello, and Nathan Doucet for the project’s debut LP which was recorded at the National Music Centre and released by Black Buffalo Records.

We’ll have news soon on a larger project from Aquakultre set for release later this summer but in the meantime you can pre-save a double A-side single featuring two remixes by Tape Notes aka producer/engineer Alex Meade.

Following up on the Polaris-nominated 2020 album Legacy, as well as the Bleeding Gums Murphy collab with DJ Uncle Fester the same year, a single with loser supreme (Hitwoman), and a recent tease at forthcoming new music, this double A-side remix signals a new chapter for the project.
