Earlier this month, Motherhood released their new single ‘Pick of the Pugs’ and now Bandsintown is premiering the new video for the song.

Paying homage to both Captain Beefheart and Queen, the video is a visual delight with green (blue) screen galore. The single, meanwhile, is getting airplay throughout North America and, in typical Motherhood fashion, drawing some interesting genre comparaisons.

“Motherhood, takes the term inventive to another level—their fusion of metal, rock, and punk comes together to create something truly out of this world.” – Bandsintown

“The song has the indie rock feel of the country side of Pavement, but only if they were heavily influenced by oompah bands.” – If It’s Too Loud
