“With the focus still on Crabtree’s haunting voice, [he] treads new paths. Full of stirring sounds, layered vocals and subtle string and brass arrangements.” – ROLLING STONE

On Go On, the followup to his 2012 self-titled debut, Crabtree takes the helm as producer, adding more grandiose orchestral-pop flourishes and taking bigger chances with instruments, loops and start-stops, weaving his falsetto through the intricately built layers of each song. Longtime collaborators Gregory Burton, Michael Feuerstack and Pietro Amato contributed to the album, and its 10 tracks travelled around Nova Scotia, Montreal, New York and rural Lancashire during the recording process. Everything started in London, Ont., with engineer Dean Nelson (Beck, Thurston Moore) and ended out east, mixed by Graeme Campbell (Buck 65, Rich Aucoin, Aqua Alta).
